Special Discount can be availed on sale of gold coins on the auspicious days of "Karwachauth" falling on 2nd November, 2012 and "Dhanteeras" falling on 11th November, 2012 (Sunday). THE GAZTTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 5th October, 2012 G.S.R. 745(E) :- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6A. read with sub section (I) of section 7 of the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (19 of 1952). the Central Government hereby makes the following Scheme further to amend the Emp1oyees Pension Scheme. 1995, namely: 1. (I) This Scheme may be called the Employees Pension (Amendment) Scheme. 2012. (2) It shall come into force on the daze of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. NPS Architecture Main Features and Architecture of the New Pension System The new pension system would be based on defined contributions. It will use the existing network of bank branches and post offices etc. to collect contributions. There will be seamless transfer of accumulations in case of change of employment and/or location. It will also offer a basket of investment choices and Fund managers. The new pension system will be voluntary. The system would, however, be mandatory for new recruits to the Central Government service (except the armed forces). The monthly contribution would be 10 percent of the salary and DA to be paid by the employee and matched by the Central Government. However, there will be no contribution from the Government in respect of individuals who are not Government employees. The contributions and returns thereon would be deposited in a non-withdrawable pension account. The existing provisions of defined benefit pension and GPF would not be available

The under signed is directed to refer M.O.F (Dep of Expdr) O.M No 21(2) 2008-EII(B) dated 29/8/2008, wherein it is stipulated that officers drawing grade pay of Rs.10,000/- and 12,000/- and those in the HAG+ scale who are entitled to the use of official car in terms of OM number 20(5) E-1 (A)/93 dated 28/1/1994, shall be given the option to avail of the existing facility or to draw the transport allowance at the rate of Rs7,000/- per month plus dearness allowance thereon. The above facility /option is however not applicable in case of officers drawing grade pay below Rs 10,000/- and should therefore not be extended in such cases. National Pension System Trust NPS Trust The National Pension System Trust (NPS Trust) was established by PFRDA on 27th February, 2008 with the execution of the NPS Trust Deed. The NPS Trust has been set up and constituted for taking care of the assets and funds under the National Pension System (NPS) in the interest of the beneficiaries (subscribers). Individual NPS subscribers shall be the beneficiaries of the NPS Trust. The NPS fund are managed by the Board of Trustees to realize and fulfill the objectives of the NPS Trust in the exclusive interest of the Subscribers.
